MIDI has been good to me for many, many years, both from a vocational point of view and from a creative point of view. I started using MIDI using a Yamaha QX3 sequencer, a Roland 88-key RD300 (as the controller/piano) and a small handful of tone generators. This was back around 1987 or so. In 1989, I made full-time $$$$ with this set-up as a "lounge lizard" working on a cruise-ship with my wife. Back then, it was still a rather novel idea to hear a full band/orchestra and see only a couple of musicians/singers performing. Now it's common place.
